Ralph, glad you’re okay! Could have been worse for sure. You can still do that GQ photo shoot next week.
LOL Benny!
It really could have been worse… Now I wonder if any security cameras caught the incident. It would make for a great viral video!
Glad the tree didn’t jar anything loose! You are exactly right though. Not only do we look for excuses to NOT do something that we’ve planned or need to plan to better our lives, but we also get stuck on old habits. I shared a story with A friend today about a time when I went to have my normal workout on the 8th floor at Broward General Wellness Center and, just out of old habit, I jumped onto the elevator and pressed the 8th floor. Once at the 8th floor, I stepped out and realized that I didn’t take the stairs as I must do to start my routine with a good, heart pumping activity and to get the blood flowing early in the morning. I went to the stairs, went all the way to the 1st Floor and then hustled back up to the 8th. Now I was ready to work out! So I guess this message is not to get stuck on old habits. When taking MASSIVE ACTION, don’t let anything get in your way (especially big trees!).
Thanks Donald! That is a great story. Habits are so important. I heard once that it takes 21 days to truly form a habit and only one second to break it. Your lesson is a great one. Don’t let even an oversight derail you from good habits.
